China’s Shenzhen Guangxuntong Communication Technology introduced its EKing T9 tablet, which it claims is the world’s thinnest tablet, local media reported. The device has been showcased as the “world’s thinnest tablet PC” by the company, while independent analysts are not convinced there are no other tablets that can claim the same title.
Amazingly, the Chinese company did not release any information on the dimensions of the tablet to justify its bold statement. On the other hand, the EKing T9 tablet is expected to be inexpensive as most Chinese devices, while offering value for money in terms of specifications and functionality.
The tablet is a two-camera gadget, featuring a 9.7″ IPS capacitive touchscreen display, 2GB of memory, and 1.5 GHz Intel Z670 processor. EKing T9 tablet supports Windows 7, Windows 8, Android, Meego and Ubuntu operating systems, which is too good to be true in view of the fact that Windows 8 is still in its alpha or beta versions.
The company did not elaborate on official release date for the new tablet, nor published any information on the price of EKing T9.
